Sunday: Busy Day

This is one of my busiest yet fulfilling Sunday.

I was supposed to go out with Cathy this morning when I received a text message from our neighbor  informing that we will have a site visit on the land that we have been applying to own for almost a year now.  So instead of going out I decided to stay at home, unexpectedly my parents pay a visit to us this morning.

After an hour of chatting with them and playing with my niece we decided to visit my grandparents but before going to their place we decided to have a lunch at Jollibee.
Lunch at Jollibee Vamenta Branch.
A time with my lola.
A prayer for my lolo.

Before the day ends.  We dropped by at our local grocery store in Cogon  to buy our food supply for two weeks.

Impulsive buyer?  Yes, I am.

I have to admit that I am in a tight budget lately yet seeing the reaction on my niece when she saw the cow shape coin bank with jelly on it, made me forget my budget for the whole week.

A gift for my cute niece.
Anyway, it only took us less than an a hour to shop, so before 4 in the afternoon they already dropped me at our barangay covered court where the rest of the CMP members  assembled.

Pasalubong From Iloilo

Nyl brought some Illonggo’s delicacies last Sunday which he bought in Iloilo during his five days vacation there.

Pinasugbo.  This is one of my favorite.  My grandparents used to bring this caramelized sliced banana sprinkled with sesame seeds when they used to travel to Iloilo.  Because of it's crunchy, chewy and sweet taste I almost ate the whole pack of it and until this very day I'm still craving for it.

Biscocho.  At first I thought it taste like the toasted bread that we usually buy here in the city but I was wrong, this one taste better.  We paired it with coffee which made it more tasteful.

Piaya. I used to call this one “piya-piya” which makes my friends laugh because it sounds funny.   It is a flat circular unleavened bread with creamy muscovado as its filling.  Today, they have different flavors in the market, the one that Nyl's brought was ube flavor.
Butterscotch.   This one is new to my taste.  It's like a banana cake which we usually ate here yet this one has a small slice of mango. Hehehe!!!

To sum things up, Iloilo delicacy are one of the best delicacy I ever tasted.
